About Me
Hi! I’m Ludovico Besana, a Senior Test Engineer at Nearform. My journey into software development began in an unusual way: with the release of Minecraft. As a passionate gamer, I was fascinated by its possibilities and started creating mods and plugins, sparking both my curiosity and a deep passion for programming.
That initial spark evolved into a clear professional mindset: I consider myself a pragmatic, data-driven professional. I strongly believe that "data disproves conviction" a phrase I coined to emphasize how empirical evidence should always guide our decisions over assumptions. This principle drives my approach to building robust, high-quality software and helping teams deliver better products.
I’ve worked in both product-based and consulting environments, adapting to different contexts, workflows, and delivery speeds. My expertise spans test automation, QA strategy, and maintainable testing frameworks. I’m also experienced in Test Management and establishing QA processes even in regulated contexts.
My technical toolkit includes Javascript/TypeScript, Python, React, Node.js, and various testing frameworks, with a focus on end-to-end, accessibility, and performance testing.
Beyond code, I’ve run a small software company and developed skills in sales and business development. I’m an active tech event organizer and enjoy mentoring junior developers. These experiences reflect my strengths in leadership, communication, and community building. I believe enthusiasm is best shown through actions, not words.
When I’m not working or speaking at events, I love exploring new technologies, spending time with my dog, reading, driving, producing music, and discovering new restaurants. I’m also involved in volunteering, giving back to the community.
My goal is to keep contributing to innovative projects where precision and a data-driven mindset are essential. I’m always looking for new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow with the humility of someone who knows there’s always more to discover.
